Respiratory Panel Testing
We provide your medical practice with unparalleled clinical diagnostic testing that is expedient and comprehensive in its scope. Respiratory Panel Testing utilizes Real-Time PCR technology to test for 26 viruses and 9 bacterias, one of the most comprehensive panel test for respiratory pathogens available. We are proud to be one of the few labs in America to provide your patients with this exclusive testing method.
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Testing
Many different disorders and conditions can affect the urinary system and the reproductive system, collectively known as the urogenital system. Specifically, it’s at the point where the two systems merge. Symptoms of an infection affecting this area are sometimes vague, or it may not be clear whether the source is viral or bacterial. Getting prompt test results avoids the unnecessary use of antibiotics and helps healthcare professionals provide prompt, appropriate care, especially with infections that may be unknowingly passed on to others.
Pneumonia Panel Testing
Syndromic infectious disease testing for Pneumonia. This Panel detects more pathogens than culture. It is difficult to grow organisms in culture if they are fastidious or if a patient is on antibiotics when a sample is collected. This Panel identifies nucleic acid even when the organism will not grow in culture. In the clinical study by the Manufacturer, this panel identified a bacteria in an additional 27% of sputum specimens.
Oral Fluid Testing
Oral fluid testing has the ability to detect drug use within the first few hours. This is a window of time that is omitted by urine test results. In some cases, it will return a positive result immediately after usage. This, with its ability to detect most drugs from 1 to 4 days after last use, makes it the best testing method for both impairment and post-accident testing. The early detection time is also very useful in dosage monitoring.
Wound PCR Testing
The presence of pathogenic organisms found extensively in wounds, play a large role in delayed healing, increased complications, and poor patient outcomes. Chronic wound infections often involve multiple organisms which can lead to such complications. Through PCR testing Yellowstone Lab is able to accurately and promptly identify these wound pathogens, which is key to proper wound management for patients suffering from pathogenic infections.
Urine Drug Testing
Urine toxicology does more than provide useful results, it can also protect your medical or clinical practice from legal action. We provide comprehensive urine toxicology services you can use for many reasons, including carefully monitoring of patients who are prescribed opiate (narcotic) pain medications. If you don’t have the resources to provide such services, our trained technicians can meet your testing demands quickly and accurately.
Description Title
Onychomycosis (nail fungus) affects 1 in 10 people overall and for people over the age of 70, this number jumps to 1 in 2 people. In order to determine a proper treatment plan for patients, laboratory testing is utilized to identify the pathology of the nail deformation. Traditional testing methods include non-specific microscopy and insensitive culturing, which can take up to two weeks to be resulted. Yellowstone Labs offers rapid and accurate testing of onychomycosis (Nail Fungus) utilizing PCR technology, which has been found to increase dermatophyte detection by 21.1%, leading to a threefold increase compared to traditional testing methods.
